Office A

Office A is a 105 sqm office in Apgujeong, Gangnam, designed for a small team that wanted a workplace at once efficient and considered. The brief was simple - a room that could hold both focused individual work and small client meetings without leaning fully into either.

The material palette is restrained - interior film and terracoat - and the spatial logic follows the same restraint. A single open plan holds both the workstations and the meeting area, divided not by walls but by light, furniture, and material. Removing the partitions was less a stylistic decision than a functional one: a small team should feel like a small team.

In the end, Office A is a project about clarity - about how do the work usually asked of a much larger office, simply by leaving out what isn't needed.

오피스 A는 강남구 압구정에 자리한 작은 사무실입니다. 효율적이면서도 사려 깊은 업무 공간을 원했던 작은 팀과 함께 진행한 프로젝트로, 공간의 개념은 단순했습니다. 개인의 집중 업무와 소규모 클라이언트 미팅을 모두 받쳐주되, 어느 한쪽으로도 기울지 않는 방.

물성은 절제되어 있습니다. 인테리어 필름과 테라코트. 공간을 구성하는 방식도 같은 결을 따릅니다. 하나의 오픈 플랜이 워크스테이션과 미팅 영역을 함께 품고, 벽이 아닌 빛과 가구, 물성으로 영역이 나뉩니다. 파티션을 두지 않은 것은 양식의 문제가 아니라 기능의 문제였습니다. 작은 팀은 작은 팀답게 느껴질 때 가장 자연스럽게 일합니다.

결국 오피스 A는 명료함에 관한 프로젝트입니다. 불필요한 것을 덜어내는 것만으로, 훨씬 더 큰 사무실에 요구되는 역할을 어떻게 해내는지에 관한 이야기입니다.
