Grid Labyrinth is an installation-art proposal shortlisted for the Battersea Park Prize 2017, designed for Battersea Park in London. Built entirely of timber, the work reads as something visible but untouchable — a structure the eye can walk through but the hand cannot quite hold.The concept works along three axes: engagement, transition, and contact-and-connect. A grid framework establishes an order; the labyrinth folded into it disrupts that order. Visitors register both at once — the geometry that says "here is a clear path" and the form that says "here is no path at all." That dissonance, held in timber, is what the installation asks the visitor to walk into.
그리드 래비린스(Grid Labyrinth)는 2017년 배터시 파크 프라이즈(Battersea Park Prize)에서 숏리스트에 오른 설치 미술 제안입니다. 런던 배터시 파크에 자리할 것을 전제로 디자인되었으며, 작업은 전체가 목재로 구성됩니다. 보이지만 만져지지 않는 무언가 — 시선은 걸어 들어갈 수 있지만 손으로는 붙잡을 수 없는 구조.개념은 세 개의 축으로 작동합니다. 개입(engagement), 전이(transition), 그리고 접촉과 연결(contact & connect). 격자(grid)가 명확한 질서를 세우고, 그 안에 접혀 들어간 미로(labyrinth)는 그 질서를 흩뜨립니다. 방문자는 두 가지를 동시에 인식합니다 — "이쪽이 길이다"라고 말하는 기하학과 "어디에도 길은 없다"고 말하는 형태. 그 불협이 목재 안에 붙들려, 방문자가 걸어 들어갈 자리가 됩니다.
